7 of us went for my birthday dinner, in the middle of December. It was lovely from start to finish the service was excellent and the food was delicious ! We all had different main courses ranging from hand battered halloumi to prime rib; and they were all excellent as were the starters. Servers were friendly and efficient and nothing was too much trouble. A great night, wholeheartedly recommend!!

Pretty good service considering it was a party of 15. The food was tasty especially the vegan burger. Smallish portion and just chips on the side which I felt was missing something. The place has a nice ambience and it is also easy to park.

Very disappointing Sunday roast. The meat was tough and cold, the roast potatoes cold and certainly not fresh (perhaps frozen!) and the gravy, watery and tasteless. The staff were very apologetic and quickly whisked our meals away, to be replace within 5 minutes with hot versions of what we had just sent back. Whilst this was appreciated, it did not take away the fact that the produce served is substandard, considering the cost. If you want a delicious Sunday roast, I would avoid The Shepherds House. There are plenty of other places that serve fresh produce, cooked to perfection for the same price or slightly more.

Great Sunday lunch from the festive menu. The gingerbread cheesecake was the nicest dessert I've tasted this year. Service was super fast and slick. Many thanks.

16/09/18: Previously this was such a great place to eat but it have gone downhill somewhat. The service was barely existent and our group was left for half an hour after the main course before I had to go myself to get desert menus. The staff were eating crisps and chatting amongst themselves when I did this and it was clear they had forgotten all about us. The food was mostly okay apart from the wrong sauces being on the food and the salad being all dried up. Had someone bothered to ask us how our meals were we might have mentioned it.Perhaps this was just a bad day so I will go back and try it again so I can hopefully edit or remove this review. But to end on a good note, the scotch egg is still very very good.PREVIOUS REVIEW:Best food I've had eating out for as long as I remember. The staff were courteous and friendly. You should try it.
